That’s the magic of pickleball, and it’s exactly why we’re so excited to announce our new 4-court facility opening this June at Pacific Playgrounds Oceanside RV Resort.

Pickleball has exploded in popularity because it’s one of the most inclusive sports on the planet. Whether you’re 5 or 85, the game levels the playing field. On these courts, kids laugh with grandparents, neighbors meet travelers from across Canada, and complete strangers become fast friends after a single doubles match.

A Hub for the Comox Valley
At Pacific Playgrounds, these courts will become a modern “town square” for both our resort guests and the local Vancouver Island community. We aren’t just providing space to play; we’re building a program to bring people together, including:

- Beginner Clinics: Perfect for those picking up a paddle for the first time.
- Pro-Led Events: Special sessions with local professional coach Lisa Sawatsky of Prestige Pickleball. Lisa’s energy ensures every player feels welcome, regardless of skill level.

“Nikki and I fell in love with pickleball for this very reason”, says Pacific Playgrounds Oceanside Resort owner Curtis Schriever. “We’ve seen firsthand how this game brings people together from every background. You don’t need to be a serious athlete. You just show up with a paddle, and suddenly you’re part of something bigger.”
