Arriving by Car or RV

Pacific Playgrounds is conveniently located just minutes off Highway 19A.

From Vancouver (via BC Ferries)

To reach Vancouver Island by car, take one of the BC Ferries routes:

• Tsawwassen to Duke Point (Nanaimo): Approximately 2-hour ferry crossing.
  Connecting the Coast | BC Ferries
• Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay (Victoria): Approximately 1 hour 35 minutes sailing.
  Connecting the Coast | BC Ferries
• Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay (Nanaimo): Approximately 1 hour 35 minute trip.

Ferry Reservations:

Driving Directions from Ferry Terminals:

• From Duke Point (Nanaimo): Drive north on Highway 19 for about 125 km (approximately 1.5 hours). Take Exit 144 (Oyster River/Black Creek) and follow signs to Pacific Playgrounds.
• From Swartz Bay (Victoria): Drive north on Highway 1 to Nanaimo, then merge onto Highway 19 North. Continue for about 125 km. Take Exit 144 and follow signs to the resort. Total drive time is approximately 3 hours, including the ferry crossing.

Arriving by Air

The nearest airport is Comox Valley Airport (YQQ), approximately 30 minutes from the resort.

Direct Flights Within Canada

• From Vancouver (YVR): Multiple daily flights via Air Canada, Pacific Coastal Airlines, and WestJet.
• From Calgary (YYC): Regular flights via WestJet.
• From Edmonton (YEG): Regular flights via WestJet.
• From Toronto (YYZ): Seasonal flights during July and August via WestJet.

• Car Rentals: Available from National and Budget at the airport.

Direct Flights for International Travellers

Currently, there are no direct flights from the USA to Comox Valley Airport. International visitors can connect through Vancouver International Airport (YVR).

Customs Information for International Travelers:

Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), international passengers will clear Canadian customs and immigration before connecting to a domestic flight to Comox. Ensure all necessary travel documents, including a valid passport and, if required, a visa or Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), are prepared in advance.
